At some point the adults have to stand up and say I want better things for my children and not pass down to them a giant mess.
That's another issue with fossil fuels, really hard to keep it all clean. Even if you don't buy all the climate hype (I think it's too complicated to predict accurately), pollution is a very real thing. I've seen a rather dramatic improvement in air quality in SOCAL since my childhood.
