Just a counter point but do you realize how much rare metal, toxic rare metal, where the mining operations are polluting an insane amount and are worked by children go into those panels?
We have to find a smart way to do it, and not trade one bad thing for another.
LFP, the next iteration of battery, does not contain any rare earth metal and is reportedly 100% recyclable.
And once the demand begins to soar, I'm sure there will be an even cheaper, more abundant alternative for those as well
