I do like the work to home life people mention with spirit, but obviously more money is more better, so it’s a toss.
Personally I don’t factor the prestige aspect of any of the airlines, long past are the days of Pan Am clippers and the like, so it’s really just a QOL thing and there’s more to that than just $$
I think the money is good everywhere so, as mentioned by others as well, it's more about stability and variety of flying.
Two other things to keep in mind:
1) Spirit/jetBlue merger: Would you also be okay working at jetBlue down the line? There's a chance the DTW base goes away after the merger. Would you have a reliable base as a feasible backup?
2) Seniority: I don't think Spirit will have too much movement unless captains leave for legacies. At Delta, you will almost certainly be bottom 50% for a good 20 years as things stand now. AA and UA have better outlooks in that regard.
