I’ve said for many years that one of the biggest threats to our operations is the perception that we need to rush. I have 2 speeds: Slow and Off. Don’t let agents, ground crew or ATC rush you. YOU set the pace. And don’t rush your F/O. If he/she needs more time, set the brake and let them catch up. Be patient, be kind, be funny and always have fun. If you’re not having fun, then it’s time to go home.
