After you've had a few trips where half wingers order Macallan(or similar), you start to sour a bit on the tradition.
I also have a rule about half wingers that don't tip the van driver. I'll discuss it with them and if the behavior doesn't change, I'm done buying them anything. I don't encounter that very often, but it does happen.
I respect where the tradition was born out of and why but it kind of needs to die because of the actions of many half-wingers. The word is out that Captains “have to buy probies all the drinks” and then proceed to order top shelf liquor 8 shots in a row. Can’t we start a new yet time honored tradition where if you like the person you’re flying with you invite them out for a few drinks? Then maybe you could say “Hey, put x number of his drinks on my tab.”???
