You are not teaching them to fly either the plane or instruments just making sure they are up to par on company procedures and operations according to FARs and company OPS Manual. The pilots they are flying with are already rated for the plane and should have 135 standards. They are making sure they will pass the checkride and I think training mins is 15 hours before checkride for us. training Captains go through all same training that regular line captains do but work in training dept till they get 1200tt.
