Fatty,
Thanks! I bet if you took a poll of the pilots on APC most would admit they have not opened an AIM publication in years (20+ in my case). I personally don't wish to dable in non military/airline minutiae. I took my 737 rating and my ATP ride at the same time and had many other numbers to worry about. With the aircraft that I was flying at the time and my ground responsibilties I didn't have time to memorize the little stuff. I guess since you flew kc-10's you had plenty of time to "study." Good for you, but please don't insult my intellectual abilities or we may have to discuss who had the quality flight time.
Personally I think a cessna instructor might be more qualified in some respects than allowing me to tanker while you read your AIM manual!
This discussion began concerning whether AA was engaged in a slow down. I apologize if I had any part in allowing this discussion to get off track. While I understand they might not be able to admit it, it would be nice to consider those stuck behind them for whatever reason. AA73 at least suggested that they could move aside while they "get their numbers." Basically, as the old saying goes...... Lead, Follow, or get out of the way!
