Given the trueness of this statement, something doesn't add up. Why would BB, who KNOWS the model, do this poorly? How/why would he allow this to happen?
Airlines are either growing or shrinking - it's almost impossible to maintain status quo (replace retirement and attrition with just enough hiring). In actuality, we are the closest thing to that very thing (stagnation) right now and have seen what it can do (CAs leaving, mass turnover in FOs, dissatisfaction in many of the workgroups, etc.). So, why order a whole bunch of planes but then sh!t the bed on the rest of the growth plans...
Incompetence? Indifference? Even purposeful?
