I believe the 787-10 has a very good shot of joining our fleet one of these days. When the time comes, it would seem an optimal replacement for our A333s. Perhaps the company is waiting for the MTOW increase first. I personally believe the 787-10 is a matter of when, not if. As far as the 777X, I'd say highly doubtful. DL doesn't seem to like big, long haul wide bodies and that thing is huge. It's a wonder they have publicly admitted to wanting the A351 and look how long thats taking. The whales were an inherited exception that came from the merger but even they were not replaced with anything close to their size.
