For you to suggest that pilots here are selling newhires down the river for a retro check is frankly very insulting. I don't care about section 3 - I have always wanted QOL gains. And I don't see what you describe as a major concession to be more than a very minor concession in exchange for much greater QOL gains.
If you softened your predictions from proclamations of certitiude to something more along the lines of 'likely', 'possibly', or 'I expect', I would find less reason to question your credentials. Instead, you choose to post as if you have perfect insight on the future for United pilots.
Getting back to the topic at hand, rather than make this all about you. This TA will pass and likely to be in effect for the next six years, warts and all. No one has rebutted my statement that this contract has the most QOL gains in the last 25 30 years. Given that reality, is there any airline that currently has a signifcantly better contract?
Okay so you just completely made it up. Got it.
Me stating facts about industry events and making linear, cogent, and logical deductions from those events is not the same as me making any kind of claim about myself like you said.
You like to exaggerate and make wild accusations and assumptions. Then when you're challenged you feel entitled to know somebody's personal history in order to qualify them as worthy of having an opinion contrary to yours. I'd like to think that if this whole conversation took place over a beer at the Hilton bar that you would quickly realize that I have more than enough industry experience to warrant being heard, but I'm afraid you just don't seem like that type.
