When on a 2 hour reserve do you mean be at gate within 1 hr 15 mins from call in time?
When on reserve, and called to get to the airport ASAP, you have two hours from the time of the call to arrive at the gate, period. The 45 minutes isn't an issue. Say first officer Smith is working a trip with a stop in LGA, he gets sick and calls off the rest of the trip and there's only 90 minutes till scheduled departure. They call you in for the flight, you still have 2 hours to get there and the flight will just leave 30 (ish minutes late).
If while on reserve they assign you a flight 4 hours in the future (or anything more than 2:44), you're expected to be there 45 minutes prior to departure.
Once you are a line holder, you are expected to arrive at the gate 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Anything after that and you are technically late.
rickair7777 eluded to about breaking into that 45 min window is a grey area you should avoid if you possibly can. Defecation occurs, If you can't avoid being a few minutes late, communicate with your CA so he/she knows exactly what's going on, without that contact they don't know if you're showing at all and may call crew scheduling. No bueno.
