They don’t have to give pre-departure beverages if the flight is delayed, min crew, catering, etc.. there’s multiple reasons that pax and pilots aren’t always privy too. Also, they’re getting paid 1/3 of their normal wage during boarding, so they do 1/3 the work in return. And they could be on their work IFE’s, which is an iPhone.
pilots should stay in their lane since we don’t know 1/5 of the FA job rules.. also they’ve been using WiFi the whole time before Wi-Fi was free. 1 buys a WiFi package and they split it so it’s a couple bucks for WiFi the whole flight, so free WiFi is not changing anything… but hey, pilots tend to know everything and are the biggest complainers after all
You should stay in your lane sport. They didn’t get paid for that up until a year ago. And guess what, I was in a FA domicile that has catering and we were early for both legs. The plane was also half full so they were not busy. I’ve seen enough of them watching movies in the back and doing personal stuff on their phones when I am trying to brief them. Some are absolutely amazing but lately it’s trending towards the bad direction. I also can’t count how many times they have begged me to say the wx is bad so they can take a break while in perfectly clear skies and no bumps.
