Upper / middle flight ops managers have almost as much disregard for lower managers (i.e. the CPO) as they do the rest of the pilot group. Ask just about any of the good recent CPs, and they’ll talk about the micromanagement that goes on from ATL and the RDs. Flight Ops has become strictly top-down.
