the company cannot afford to keep dragging this out. Investors are getting antsy.
Id think after nearly 4 yrs the nmb will come to the conclusion that it's never getting done.
look at ups drivers, they threatened strike and now people are lining up to work for them because they have the high6pay by far, health care workers went on strike for 3 days, auto workers are about to get a great deal also. I think the country is tired of corporations making all the money and squeezing the little guy. The mood has shifted.
I'm glad people are building their strike fund but AA stuck in 2005? And it lasted 14 min.
I doubt at 60 million a day sw will allow a strike to happen.
We need to call the bluff and get everything we want.
Spirit Airlines strike lasted 5 days. The Comair strike was nearly three months. But that said, I agree. My family has been saving for months - living on my salary and banking my wife’s. So we can certainly outlast the company at this point.

I’m more concerned about the NMB telling everybody to go to their corners for six months like they did with the FAs. Thankfully, the company started negotiating with the FAs again last week. Not that it matters at the end of the day, it’s just an undesirable outcome. A strike or a deal, either one is fine in my book. But six months of nothing would be frustrating.
