I’m more concerned about the NMB telling everybody to go to their corners for six months like they did with the FAs. Thankfully, the company started negotiating with the FAs again last week. Not that it matters at the end of the day, it’s just an undesirable outcome. A strike or a deal, either one is fine in my book. But six months of nothing would be frustrating.
TWU 556 returned to the table (virtually) weeks ago. In their update on Friday, they reported that the mediator told them to go home and pack for another meeting that started on Monday. I wouldn't be surprised if they have an AIP by the end of the week. I also strongly believe management wants ALL contracts ratified by 12/31, but that could be wishful thinking.
