With what qualified pilots? Remember, in 83-85 you had thousands of qualified out of work pilots that would slit each other’s throats to fly for a major Airline thanks to Uncle Sam and the end of the Vietnam War. I don’t think you could even find 500 that would be willing to do that in today’s job market when literally every Airline is hiring right now.
Spirit has a bunch of recently hired kids that don’t know Jack about the industry that will likely be furloughed in Q1 2024 if the merger is t approved.
