It’s a union negotiated item agreed upon with management, not controlled. There’s a difference. If someone is making money for the company and profit sharing exists with that group then they should see the fruits of their labors. It’s something I let my reps know is important to me and want to see in the contract. Not a fan of pulling ladders up.
I’m sorry you don’t get profit sharing, I agree that new hires should. At least you aren’t on LTD. Those folks don’t get profit sharing either, also didn’t get a raise and don’t get any retro pay.
At least there is a bid open right now that gives you an opportunity to increase your pay dramatically if you would like to.
