The good:
Brand new. Very nice.
walking to the sim is excellent
Best gym ive ever seen
It's not the atrium
The bad:
Food. Most of the food is pretty good but the options are limited. Especially in the evening.
No less than a billion 20-23yr olds running around. It's refreshing to see their enthusiasm and I hope it translates on the line but it can seem crowded at times particularly in the bar area. The bar is the only spot you have much of a choice on what you eat.
Internet monitored by company
Cannot have guests in room(wife/husband/partner)
Cannot have alcohol in room
Wearing your ID to go down to the bar for a beer and sandwich, or to the pool, or to the gym.....and everywhere else........ gets old pretty quick.
Lots of banter out there about it being a "gulag" or whatever is mostly exaggerated. That said; in the future I wont stay there for anything longer than CQT. The food options are too limited. Renting a car(free parking at hotel) is more or less required for any longer stay.
Refreshing to see their enthusiasm? With Second year pay you make more than most people do in 5 years . There are people out there cleaning , pushing chairs , driving taxis that wish they could Make money like this and live a better life . Never understood why so many pilots are miserable . They must have it to good .
