Have they been consulting with the ALPA attorneys for the last 2+ weeks? Is that the delay? I don't get it. I am pointing fingers here. DALPA is my representation to management. I expect them to be effective in that regard. So yes, I am going to make this about DALPA in some regards. I've always known the management and what they are about, I would expect my representative body to them to be forceful and use every tool legally at their disposal. So far its been quiet other than said letter from MEC.

Where is DALPA? They're having a Special Meeting in ATL on 10/26-10/27 (almost a month after the fact). They'll all take FPL and fly down positive space and stay at a 4 star hotel downtown. There will be a catered breakfast buffet. They'll grabass for a while, have an hour or two closed door meeting and brainstorm a few things, then break for a catered lunch. They'll have another afternoon meeting and debate whether the line pilots deserve to get treated like we work at endeavor. Then the hospitality suite bar opens at 4pm for drinks on us, along with another buffet. That night, they'll break up into smaller groups to enjoy the town on their expense accounts for "working" dinners where the alcohol will flow. They'll repeat all this the next day.
The result will be more Strongly Worded Letters/Emails. The company will laugh and double down, the pilot group will scoff and handle things their own way, DALPA will pat themselves on the back for being tough and take a victory lap. DH will make an appointment with JA under his desk.
Wash, rinse, repeat next time.
