True I could make more over time at a legacy but honestly money is not everything (not everyone is money hungry). Quality of life NOW and being with my family now is MUCH more important. My point is I can make significantly more move than I currently make AND have a great quality of life NOW doing something I love. Down the road pay may be more than I expect and if so cool. If not I can deal with it. I am just saying it seems like a good place for lots of people and I think it is funny all those who say otherwise but don’t leave.
To me it is not worth 3-6 years of 12-18 nights a month on the road to hold a day trip better paying job later.
Just my opinion as an outside perspective looking in.
Not arguing your personal priorities, just want you to be well informed. In this day and age many outsiders just don't understand some of the upsides to 121 simply because it's getting into the hard-to-believe realm for the average American.
Also while we all know that money can't but happiness, lack of money can certainly impede happiness
But don't miss your kids growing up, that's priceless. I slow-rolled my career in part for that reason.
