I know some junior captains that are fine with them. They are too junior to hold any day turns but live local. A 16 hour BOS overnight allows them to go see the family in the middle of the trip while still collecting per diem. They’re fine giving up a few hours each month for this.
The credit lost from the ****ty 4-day pairings going away would result in 2 or 3 (or more) days off per month
