Are the work rules at United still so bad that no one wants to take the upgrade? I know there were a lot of fixes in the new CBA, but is reserve at United so bad that people would rather make $100k less as an FO than to upgrade and spend a decade on reserve?
That’s highly dependent on where you are in your life, commuter/non-commuter, etc. If you live local, no-kids/kids in the house that drive your schedule, reserve probably is worth it. I’d say reserve is better than being a junior lineholder, in either case. That’s just my opinion, though.
