I know nothing about the payroll defense so I can not speak if his facts were correct or not. While I disagree with just about everything he has to say opinion wise his facts are rarely incorrect, it’s his interpretation of said facts. It’s his twisting interpretation to always be the contradictory to most pilots. It’s his inability to understand what management is truly doing while he is looking at the shiny object. He is a wedge, simple as that. I assume that was his unofficial call sign in the AF. Wedge, the simplest of all tools. But he kept coming back for the beating and his writing was concise. He was different in person, not as confrontational as he is behind a keyboard but still I will not work with him.

In regards to payroll, I used to get all fired up before I called them about a mistake. They were always so nice and explained things and took responsibility when they did stuff wrong. I finally went in and saw them and they gave me a tour. Talk about set up for failure by management. They operate in a vacuum of modern technology. I don’t think it’s them as they are doing the best they can, it’s the C suite and not giving them the tools to actually do the job of figuring out our pay during some events. I could be wrong but that is my impression after hanging out for 20 minutes with them.
