It's a trial, first the prosecution presents their case in chief and then calls all their witnesses, then once they rest the defense has the option to call any witnesses, then closing arguments. Most likely they won't have the defense begin their case until after Thanksgiving break. Once the case is finished the judge will likely take a couple weeks to review his notes and applicable laws and render his decision. Since it is a bench trial, he will author a detailed decision vs just a "guilty/not guilty".
Yeah I got it, what threw me off was when he stated the DOJ was done next Wednesday, it seemed a little too soon for me hence all my questions. But he clarified what he was trying to say below.
