It's not gone. They are not going to scrap the entire FAA re-authorization which was already passed by the house. It was already agreed to in principle by the Senate committee.
There's still potential for changes when the Senate gets back to the FAA bill, but at this point inertia is in favor of age 67. Somebody has to actively remove it from process, which could happen since there are still pilot qualification (ATP) issues in play so horse trading is still possible.. But the default now is that it passes (eventually).
