FWIW to those in limbo,
-Submitted app April 23 via internal link from an Alaska pilot, do this vs general link if you can.
-App status changed in June to under review
-Didn’t hear anything but signed up for the Meet the Chiefs in August 23. Sat down with Portland CP and go over my resume and ask questions. Mini Q&A...why Alaska and tell me about yourself. From there some people were getting the recommendation to interview.
-interviewed September 23, CJO day of, July 24 avail.
Most interviewing were available within 2 months and we were all given DEC/JAN class dates...just a placeholder for me. The stated trend from hiring dept was expect an interview 2-3 months before availability if you meet the hiring mins. Goal in September for "2024 hiring" was 600 pilots but that’s probably going to be reeled in as mentioned above with the market trends. They were optimistic though with transitions finishing up in Nov.
Our interview group was split about half mil have civ with I think a 7/12 selection rate. The non-mil who got the nod were 2 skywest and 1 allegiant and had ATP mins, all had probably 3 years flying with them. Most if not all had recently been to a MTC or Meet and Greet at a conference. The mil pilots who made it were helo bubbas and I may have been the only fixed wing.

Posting this data because it's hard to find data on people who recent went through the hiring machine. From what I hear it's good to have an internal hiring link and a MTC under your belt with an active application.
