Spoken from what, exactly? "Toxic as hell" are some pretty strong words. What's your experience, outside of aviation and outside of VX/AS, to make that statement?
And as I’ve said before - if their kinda sorta new attitude lasts through the next downturn, I’ll be the first to gladly eat crow. Southwest management - unlike AAG, doesn't benefit from the same type of goodwill shown by their pilot group. They are in serious trouble if they don’t leap-frog in the industry with this next pilot contract. And they’re not going to jeopardize the business over this. The contract WN pilots expect will arrive and this too shall pass. Then they’ll continue to enjoy their superior structural benefits for many years.
I'll take the word of current SWA pilots who say that it isn't Herb's airline anymore, than a burnt out POed Alaska pilot who hates all things Alaska.
