The critical path to turning an airplane is the cabin cleaners. Nothing else. Airplanes with a 2L door have a distinct advantage in that the cleaners can do first class first while gulag class is still deplaning, and when they move back there, first can be boarded. Your argument is interesting though. I don't know without taking a poll whether or not cleaners cost more than we gain. I doubt seriously whether either moves the needle much tbh.
This is one area where the -88 beat every other fleet. With the aft stairs boarding first class could start as soon as the cleaners cleaned FC. Then as the cleaners worked their way backwards more cabin zones could be boarded. Then the cleaners just went out the tail of the plane with the plane probably at least half boarded.
