Our seniority calculator on the NK union app is a bit Mickey Mouse, and our master seniority list does not have pilot date of birth.
That being said, half of our pilot group has been hired in the last 5 years. Anecdotally, much of the attrition I have been aware of in the top half were mostly younger pilots, and they were near the bottom of that top half. I would love to see some data that shows ages within different hiring spurts, but it's not as though the bulk of NK captains who were hired in 2010-17 were all 23 years old with 30-35 years remaining today. Hiring in the last 5 years has certainly pulled the average age down, but there are a lot more salt & pepper haired pilots in the top half than you think.
Hopefully both unions will share some more comprehensive data with their SLI proposals.
