Haven't been paying much attention to the evolution of Toyota hybrid drive systems, but our 2016 RX450H is averaging 26 point something in mixed use driving. 28 best ever, but it would take sustained 80+ mph cruising to drop much below 26. Of course, as you might imagine, the increased reliance on EV mode in stop-and-go city driving results in greater mpg than freeway cruising.Toyota onboard mpg computers are scary-accurate; always cross-checks within tenths on my manual "howgozit." Granted it's older, probably heavier, etc. But 42 is stellar anyway you slice it.
