Ive been here at ASA since July and I like it a lot, still on reserve (Im on the 200) and when i got here reserve was about 2 months on the jet, well Im stillon reserve and about 40 #s from holding a line, yea things have slowed here just like everywhere else, I went to 3 interviews before here and I took the job with ASA and havent regretted it....out of all the interviews ASAs was BY FAR the toughest....but if you come prepared you will succeed, no I didnt have a CRJ course before coming here, but I did fly a King Air and had done the ATP written....i have a friend who s an instructor pilot here and he said that 05/05 is the last class til prob June or July and the last Captain upgrade classwill be June 15th i believe, for now......things have changed quickly here , more people are staying now w the new contract, I am on reserve and fly about 30-40 hrs a month right now, hopefully w the summer coming i will have more flight hours w the busier season upon us....but who knows, I reccomend going to both , I had a shot at going to Eagle, I even commute out of Boston and Eagle has a BOS base and guarantees it to you , but I felt ASA was a better opportunity for me, I am 26 w no wife or kids so the commute doesnt bother me, ATL aint that bad of a place, I ve had some fun times here and may even move here as its cheaper and living in base would be easier, but to each his /her own , do whats gonna be best for you in your career, take every interview you can , you d be foolish not to, especially even if it s a company you dont want to go to, do it for the experience, as for me overall I am very happy with my decision, best of luck...
