I currently work for a 135 in AK flying twin turbine PIC. Ive had an app in since mid summer 2023. I attended the Seattle MTC in August and I thought it went good. I recently met with ANC chief this fall and thought it went extremly well. I was told - I would be a great fit, going to put a good word in for me, given a business card, and told to contact if I havent heard anyhting by January. I genuinely enjoyed the interaction and we talked for probably 40 minutes. Ive read through several forums and in regard to the Seattle MTC this past August in particular, I noticed that some particpants received a recomendation for interview, and actually did get an interview sometime after. I did not... and I wasn't really expecting some sort of recomendation or anything but meerely an opportunity to demonstate my seriousness about joining the Alaska team. Now I guess my question(s) are - Is a lack of recomendation after a large MTC event an indication of disinterst and time to start looking at other options? Ive read scenarios where qualified people wait and wait and never receive a call and at what point should someone quit holding their breath? Is the hiring boom for first officers coming to a hault?

Alaska is the only place I have a resume out to and I want to continue living in AK and not interested in commutting long term.
