PIC has the authority to delay a flight. And the responsibility to to to stop, if the flight cannot be completed safely in the opinion of the PIC.
We surely wouldn't be cutting any corners and putting pressure on our new CA's that were flight instructing 2-3 years ago. Wrap it up however you want but this is just a new form of pilot pushing.
