Your statement of what Hawaiian pilots need to realize is basically FUD.
That’s one of the best things about HAL, is that we have historically had choices to fly a widebody interisland, transpacific, or international. We had 330 USPS flights for a few years from HNL-OGG-HNL (20 minute flight) and they were very senior! We also had 767 flights interisland as well.


Everyone likes widebody pay, but some prefer to stay in the same time zone, some prefer only daytime flying, and some prefer to experience different cultures/food and more efficient longer segment flying.
