This is the thing they obviously do not understand. I’m boarder line to make WBA in my last couple years (hired much older thank your average pilot). 67 passes and I will likely never see it before I retire. Because I refuse to work past 65, and will probably go earlier. Because I want to enjoy time with my wife and family before I can’t with a decent QOL. So it absolutely hurts my career prospects.
And before you call me selfish and a union of 1 or whatever else you want to, ask yourself what you are advocating for? Exactly what benefits you the most. Just like we all do. No matter how you try and justify it.
