Not always, a lot of bases it’s pretty close. Thing with how United uses the bus it’s typically more legs to smaller towns, where 737 is further legs often to islands/ South America etc. Great choice to have. Flew the 737 for years, if I upgrade I’d like to do the bus for a change, but it’s much smaller fleet, so less pairing choices/ability to trade. And a final point for the 737 we are getting a lot more of them, some will be replacements but I think everyone agrees seniority progression resides on it
another bus vs 73 argument is (and this may depend on base), but I’ve heard the bus has far fewer commutable trips. Like, the 73 will have at least one end commutable, and the bus will have early start/late finish.
something to consider, and again, I’m just going off what others have told me. I haven’t studied the bid packages to verify.
