Would be nice if we had the intestinal fortitude to demand and hold out for annual contractual pay and retirement increases post the amenable-date like SWAPA's AIP has. But I doubt we do.
The least you can do is email your rep, email the NC.
I have done so on several occasions and not once have they used the words “not legal” or “against” ALPA policy. They did speak to the memberships’ fortitude required for such an undertaking.
I think this is an important issue that will aid our unity for not only this contract cycle but for future iterations.
