Look at Zap’s career path (sorry, man) vs someone hired 23 yrs ago. One career was fraught with recessions, mergers, downgrades and furloughs while the other benefited from 6 figure signing bonuses and a career trajectory mirroring the Atlas rocket.

I doubt ‘Ol Darby predicted the aftermath of 9/11, age 65, Rona, etc. He can’t predict whether someone will bypass for QOL or bid for the crappiest schedule possible because it pays. He’s going for the absolute best case scenario…which just isn’t possible for 99% of us.
