The peso is a mess but real estate transactions have long been USD only in Argentina. And frequently in literal cash - like suitcases full of benjamins - even for routine transactions. If there are bargains to be had in Argentina, it's not from currency arbitrage.
That said ... I love argentina.
Edit - oh and real property ownership is one of the hardest assets to hide, therefore easiest to tax
