We laid out our rewrite in Jan 2020 and they could have agreed to it 100% saving the company billions over the life of the contract. They refused to entertain it because they were happy with the vague current book.

we were one of the first to sign last year and DL came out with a TA beating our rates before we were even finished voting. We also weren’t dealing with inflation at 40 yr highs.

We just set the standard for FO pay that you and everyone else can raise the bar on when you go back to negotiations. Our union came up with LCO which is now the standard for reroutes at the big 3. This TA isn’t 100% but it has a ton of industry leading things in it that hopefully we can make better with pattern bargaining the next go around.

If every airline union got together and agreed to pay scales and work rules and held firm to attain them…we wouldn’t have unions negotiating and settling for less than their worth.
