Spirit makes the plug, nut Boeing removes it to put in most of the interior, then reinstalls it and finishes the interior to cover it up and make it difficult to readily access. What subsequent checks (if any" are required, I haven't a clue. Did it in fact FAIL? Or was it not reinstalled properly?
