In 2015 the economists said we were getting the most the company could afford to give. Most suspect there was more to give, but we will never know. The differences now are that the economists have told us we aren't asking for enough- they can easily afford majors equivalent pay and this time there isn't enough of the group currently doing what is needed to get the improvements they desire. Operations are starting to suffer more and more, but there just aren't enough pilots willing to sacrifice the short term for long term gains. There is a race between those that are sacrificing continuing and getting enough others to do it also and the company being able to wait us out while adding enough new pilots that don't plan on staying and are willing to work ungodly amounts of days to keep the train on the tracks. The union is simply not unified enough to get the deal done. It is there for the taking this time. I just don't know if the collective has the stones to take it.
