I credited 94 hours last month and blocked less than 3, with 12 days off (truly off, not unused reserve) over Christmas including a week of vacation. And that’s as a second year guy, so it’s not like I’ve been paying dues in the 121 world forever.
Biggest surprise to me as a relative newcomer to 121 has been how little I can be used on reserve, and how much I enjoy the resulting lazy reserve lifestyle and time at home. That’s obviously going to vary a lot by category, but I’m happy riding this train for now. And sure, I could make more money being super junior in another seat, but then I’d have to actually work for a living.
Good thing you didn’t choose SWA. They can’t handle a reserve not being used. It’s like they think you’re stealing from their grandchildren or something. 🤣
