In the January 6th award, the most junior pilots awarded PHX and ORD captain had November 2023 hire dates (the bottom 8 were assigned PHX), the most junior DFW captain had a September 2023 date of hire, and the most junior MIA captain had an April 2023 date of hire. PHX and ORD captain went unfilled. These vacancy bids are run every 3 months. If you don't get what you want in Indoc, there is a good chance you can get your preferred base in the next standing bid award; MIA will take a little longer.

Your date of hire is your Orientation date, but you have to have completed Indoc week to participate in the Vacancy/Displacement bid. December hires have not completed Indoc week yet.

Crew Planning says DFW and ORD will have 30 more hard lines of flying in June than they have today, PHX will have 13 more hard lines of flying in June, and MIA will have 9 fewer lines of flying in June. Reserve pilots in PHX are currently flying the least.
