Private sector is the only way to have anything of quality. Anything run by the company or union has absolutely zero accountability. The only reason that litesabre improved the lives of its users is because it was third party. It was significantly more robust than anything AA or APA has ever even attempted.
This was 100% a coordinated attack. APA realized that it could not compete with litesabre in terms of programming or usability. APA tried to buy litesabre and the price was too high. So, when AA shuts off the access, it is now worthless. This will allow APA to buy it at a fraction of the cost.
Litesabre was wildly benefitial to both the pilots and the company as a whole. The company would not cut off the access and hurt itself if there wasnt a plan already in place.
