I will miss LS. But this will force everyone to use TTS which will help. Currently there are a lot of pilots that don't understand that TTOT is gone. They post their trip on LS only, not on TTS. I needed to pick up a trip exceeding MMAX in November, found three trips that would accomplish what I needed in LS trips. None were listed in TTS (have to use TTS to go over VMAX). I texted them to ask them to list the trip in TTS, all 3 of them thought their trip was listed in TTS since they had listed in LS 🤦♂️ .
We have a ton of low information pilots here, don't even get me started on PBS bidding errors that cause ****ty schedules and inscesant complaining from the self inflicted pilot.
This is a factor, however, I do not beleive it is driving the crap trading environment.
1) AA controled open time limits
2) APA dumping trips into open time hogging up the open time limts
3) "Washing" trips first
There are things that work better under seniority rules (non-rev travel, vacation, vacancies, PBS) and things that work better with first come first served (trading with open time).
...but no one asked me, ha! ;-)
