Again, we are now at 15.4 pilots per plane. Open time is a ghost town and has been for a while. So Ive revised the number of pilots needed to only 15 per plane and we still would need to hire about 35 per month to cover the fleet. That assumes the 30% attrition rate continues and no aircraft groundings. Either one of those can change the equation overnight.

Also, as plane joe mentions. We haven’t moved to day trips yet. It takes 3-6 months for a complete schedule change. It won’t really start happening until spring. So how can they know how much people love it?
Towards the end of our day one of the hiring/acquisition people came by. They had recently held a meeting with ops, and whatever they discussed *very* recently had led them to conclude that March may be off the table entirely. They're just not losing very many pilots.

It probably will pick up.. Question is whether they see it coming or if they end up playing catchup. As of now, I can confidently say I'm not retaining my March class date. From the sound of it there are 21 cadets training in Dallas right now and those cadets will get priority in March *if* there is a March class at all.

They said they will decide within 2 weeks of that meeting so expecting an email update this week or next.
