I will never understand these posts. Of course you're not competetive, because you haven't even filled out an app yet which is literally the bare minimum requirement! So right now, your chances of being hired are zero. If you want to have a career at a legacy and make tens of millions of dollars over the course of your career, then spend 3 hours filling out an application, and ideally spend $900 your app reviews and interview prep. If you don't don't get a call immediately, then continue periodically updating your app and continue checking boxes to be even more competetive, go to meet and greets, etc. If you do apply and get a call right away, it's probably a sign that you screwed up by not applying weeks or months ago. Every day that passes until you get hired means between 4 and 6 people getting hired before you, and yeah some of them will have fewer hours. Some will have more. Hours aren't the end all be all app metric, and rough stats that people post after a CJO or TBNT don't have nearly enough detail to figure out what the magic formula is and why they got hired or didn't. It sucks, it's a haze, but its literally the only way to get hired.
