4. Yes, but depends on seniority and how desireable your trips are, and everyone agrees it's not good enough and apparently a massive step back from your NK experience. Also depends on how well you learn the system, some of the biggest complainers are also the most clueless on how to make things work
5. Not as senior as you'd think, especially for thanksgiving. You can slide adjacent weeks to get those holidays off.
6. depends on seniority
7. Usually 3, usually 7, far 117 limits apply
8. Sick if needed... if they need you, you're charged a minimum of 1 pro rated reserve day value of sick
9. yes, or close to it
10. yes, just depends, there are definitely stories of people doing so but they don't post on APC. Prolly not on probation
11. Totally depends on who you talk to
12. There's no number associated with that, and nobody should ever try to define it. Be smart on probation and tread lightly and you're fine. Lots of people live way further than 2 hours from an airport and handle reserve just fine, you'll figure it out
13. depends on seniority. The more senior I got the easier it was to solve at the bottom of the LCW and get around 18-20 days off in PBS. Junior, yeah right.
14. yes, see above
Thank you so much for all the answers!
Regarding #10, I saw others on here saying leave is never approved. I am certain on probation won't be approved. I'm just thinking way down the line. I know other Spirti captains who take 1-2 months off a year to go do crazy stuff like tour around Europe, or go on a mission trip, or go climb a mountain, etc.
