Is someone complaining about lack of flexibility? It would seem every base/seat is well staffed and there is very little opentime. You can drop just about anything. Or… is this about pilots complaining reserves take open time and there is no quality trips to trade from? Whatever happened to first come, first serve? Now, a solid 30-35% of pilots will be limited to 75-79 hrs on reserve with no opportunity to make more.

I thought the “old guard” was changing. This is just another example of the union screwing the junior pilots, for a gain on the senior side. Let’s face it, these EILs will go senior.
Oh the hue manatee! This jr pilot welcomes it. It will artificially advance my seniority for a month or two. If I don't get an IL I'll be that much closer to getting a line, or have my pick of the reserve lines and have very little chance of having to fly.
